Orca v1.4.248 holds your queued prompts when an agent turn fails

Orca v1.4.248: when an agent turn fails, Orca now holds your queued follow-ups instead of sending each one into the same failure. Also: pick the Model and Effort that write commit messages and pull request descriptions, the chat-history cleanup that could stall large chats is removed, an optional update delay with Skip Delay Once, the experimental Orchestration panel back as an opt-in, faster chat reopening on Orca Mobile, and opt-in format on save. 3. Orca removed the chat-history cleanup that could stall large chats, and preview updates stop copying the whole conversation. The cost: saved chat storage can grow again until cleanup returns.

Orca removed the chat-history cleanup that could stall large chats

    Previews
updates no longer copy the whole loaded conversation
    Saved chats
    every saved conversation stays readable

Known issue: with cleanup paused, saved chat storage can grow as conversations continue.

  4. Orca can now wait one to thirty days before offering a release, and Skip Delay Once grabs a held update. At fourteen or thirty days, a release can expire before reaching you.

  5. The Orchestration panel is back under Experimental settings, now that the lag behind its shutdown is fixed. A closed terminal worker also reopens straight from its card.

  6. On Orca Mobile, a chat you just left reopens from cached messages and fetches only what changed. Long messages now reach Codex on Windows. Update the phone app too.

  7. Format on save arrives as an opt-in, theme pickers are searchable, and chat tabs get the terminal's right-click actions. If you queue prompts for Claude Code or Codex, I'd update now.
