Orca v1.4.247 lets plugins block or rewrite Claude Code's tool calls
3 hours ago
Orca v1.4.247: Orca plugins can now block or rewrite Claude Code's tool calls before they run, and change or block agent launches, prompts and terminal sends. Also: GitHub review threads and line comments in the Orca phone app, chats that continue on their own after a usage limit resets, three chat fixes, GitHub and VS Code themes with Ghostty and Kitty config import, and the experimental Orchestration panel switched off while its lag is fixed. Orca plugins can now stop a Claude Code tool call before it runs. A plugin can refuse a risky shell command or rewrite it, while other agents stay watch-only. A rewrite still asks for your approval.
Orca plugins can also rewrite or block agent launches, prompts and terminal sends, and show their own status bar items. One known bug: a plugin replacing a built-in command can run it twice.
Orca's phone app now shows GitHub review threads under their lines, with Reply and Resolve. The pull request tab opens on what blocks the merge, and bot findings get Ask agent to fix.
A chat stopped by a usage limit can now restart itself. With the new setting on, Orca sends Continue where you left off, once, just after the reset. It's off by default.
Three chat fixes: unsent terminal text follows you into chat, Claude chats on Full access stop asking for approval, and no reply is lost while saving is busy. Saved chat history still grows on disk.
Orca now ships GitHub and VS Code themes, and imports your Ghostty or Kitty config. Ghostty light and dark pairs import as one theme per mode, and font pickers preview each font in its own typeface.
The experimental Orchestration panel is switched off until its app-wide lag is fixed, and orchestration commands still work. If you run Claude Code in Orca, I'd update for the tool-call hooks.
