Auto permissions

Orca

Orca’s Auto permissions let Claude and Codex approve routine actions

New sessions only. Existing chats keep their permissions, and Auto depends on the agent, model and host.

Settings, Agents in Orca: Agent Permissions set to Auto, Other agents set to Yolo, with Claude launching as claude --permission-mode auto and Codex as codex --approve-for-me
GitHub release v1.4.232 · stablyai/orca · #30677, #30853

Orca's permission switch now offers Auto between Manual and Yolo. Claude and Codex approve routine actions themselves, in terminals and new chats. Existing chats keep their settings, and an older host can't use Auto.

OpenCode 2 opens as a chat

Orca

OpenCode 2 now opens in Orca’s native chat

Needs a stable OpenCode 2 build. Anything older opens in a terminal.

An OpenCode 2 chat tab in Orca: the agent ran printf hello-from-opencode-2 and shows the command output
GitHub release v1.4.232 · stablyai/orca · #28424

OpenCode 2 now opens in Orca's native chat, and its models are listed before your first message. That needs a stable OpenCode 2 build; anything older still opens in a terminal.

A usage limit reads as a pause

Orca

A usage limit now reads as a pause, with a Continue button

Native chat is still experimental. Keep paired and SSH hosts updated.

An Orca chat warning: Claude hit its session limit. It resets at 8:53 PM, with a Continue button
GitHub release v1.4.232 · stablyai/orca · #30396

When Claude or Codex hits a usage limit in an Orca chat, the chat now names the limit and when it resets. Press Continue and the agent carries on in the same conversation.

Phone chat box attaches files

Orca

The Orca phone app attaches files and puts skills inline

Model, effort and permissions share one sheet. File uploads need an updated host.

The Orca phone app's model sheet: a model list, Reasoning effort from Low to Max, a Fast mode switch, and Permissions set to Full access
GitHub release v1.4.232 · stablyai/orca · #30359

On the Orca phone app, the chat box now attaches files as well as photos, and a skill you pick sits inline in your message. Model, effort and permissions share one sheet.

Managed SSH servers recover

Orca

Orca’s managed SSH servers recover from lost pairing and restarts

Lost pairing
pairs again over SSH, instead of reconnecting forever
Server restart
tunnels follow the new port
Unsaved drafts
survive the move to a managed server
GitHub release v1.4.232 · stablyai/orca · #30775, #30888, #30894

A managed SSH server that drops this desktop now pairs again over SSH. Tunnels follow a restarted server to its new port, and unsaved drafts survive the move to a managed server.

Orca's browser now asks for a username and password when a site needs one. It asks before a page opens another app, and Space shows changed files before cleanup. Which agent will you put on Auto first, Claude or Codex?
