By around age two they had your vocabulary, your grammar, and, this is the part that gets me, your exact accent. Maybe you've tried to learn a language as an adult. You know what it costs. So how did someone who can't buckle their own shoes do it for free? Maria Montessori built her whole method on the answer. From birth to around six, your child's mind doesn't learn the way yours does. It absorbs.
