Superpowers now installs as a native Antigravity plugin, built for Google’s Antigravity Marketplace
assets/antigravity-logo.png, the Marketplace logoSuperpowers, Jesse Vincent's skills library, now ships a native plugin manifest for Google's Antigravity. Merged on October 8, it is what the Antigravity Marketplace needs to list Superpowers.
Before, Antigravity rejected Superpowers’ hooks file in every session
Before this change, installing Superpowers from its GitHub address only worked through a fallback that imported it as a Gemini CLI extension. Antigravity then rejected the copied Claude Code hooks file at the start of every session.
One manifest file carries the Marketplace fields
The change adds one manifest in its own Antigravity folder. It holds what the Marketplace shows: a display name, a logo, an author, and two suggested prompts, for building an idea and for debugging. The install command stays the same.
Superpowers starts on Antigravity through its own skill description
Antigravity's hooks have no session-start event, so Superpowers starts through skill discovery. Antigravity lists each installed skill's description, and the using-superpowers description tells the model to load it when starting any conversation.
A clean session asked for a React to-do list got a question back
In a clean session asked to make a React to-do list, the model opened the using-superpowers skill, then brainstorming, and answered with a question. The workspace stayed empty.
An always-on rules file worked, but Cursor would load it too
The first version used an always-on rules file, and it worked, but Cursor loads the same folder from the shared repository, so it was removed. A hook before every model call is the fallback if skill discovery proves unreliable.
In 21 sessions, the right skill loaded before any code
Across 21 sessions, requests to build something loaded brainstorming before any code, and bug reports loaded systematic debugging before any edit. The pull request names the risk: it all depends on the model following a skill's description.
Tested only in Antigravity’s command-line tool, and not yet released
The testing used Gemini 3.8 Flash in Antigravity's command-line tool. The Antigravity 2.0 app, the Antigravity IDE, Windows and Cursor are untested. The change sits on the dev branch, and the release notes still list it as unreleased.
