ECC's skill-health dashboard stops marking unchanged skills as worsening

ECC's skill-health dashboard marked a skill whose success rate had not changed as worsening when the warning threshold was zero; pull request #3511 makes it stable. The same merge stops a null run-log row from crashing the health report, stops a folder named like a snapshot from inflating the version, makes rollback refuse storage without hardlinks, and fixes instinct files that were skipped for a byte order mark or crashed status with inf or nan confidence. On main, after the 2.2.3 release. https://github.com/affaan-m/ECC/pull/3511 https://github.com/affaan-m/ECC/blob/main/commands/skill-health.md https://github.com/affaan-m/ECC/releases

ECC's skill-health dashboard stops marking unchanged skills as worsening

trend: worsening
trend: stable
pull/3511 · scripts/lib/skill-evolution/health.js · fix from #3505

The ECC plugin fixed its skill-health dashboard. At a warning threshold of zero, a skill whose success rate hadn't moved was marked worsening. Now it shows as stable, so healthy skills stop getting flagged.

One null line in the run log no longer stops the health report

github.com/affaan-m/ECCskill-health · tracker
# skill execution log, one JSON record per line
{"skill_id":"tdd-workflow","outcome":"success",…}
null
{"skill_id":"api-design","outcome":"failure",…}

Before: health collection threw. After: the null row is skipped and the valid records count.

pull/3511 · scripts/lib/skill-evolution/tracker.js · fix from #3507

The dashboard reads a log of skill runs, one record per line. A line holding only null made the health report throw. Now that row is skipped, and the valid runs still count.

A folder named like a snapshot no longer inflates the version

github.com/affaan-m/ECCskill versioning
.versions/
v1.md
v999.md/ a directory
next snapshot: v1000next snapshot: v2, and the folder stays put
pull/3511 · scripts/lib/skill-evolution/versioning.js · fix from #3506

ECC keeps numbered snapshots of each skill. A folder named v999.md counted as a snapshot and pushed the version up. Now only real files count, and the folder is left in place.

Snapshots and rollback now refuse storage without hardlinks

github.com/affaan-m/ECCskill-health · Snapshot storage
new snapshot or rollbackneeds hardlink support
unsupported storagerefused, no copy fallback
reading health and historystill works
commands/skill-health.md · Snapshot storage · pull/3511

Rollback now swaps the restored skill in through a hardlink, so a failure can't leave a half-written version. Storage without hardlinks is refused, with no copy fallback. Reading health and history still works.

A rollback still replaces edits you never snapshotted

github.com/affaan-m/ECCskill versioning · rollback
Snapshot first.

Rollback keeps no extra checkpoint of the live skill before it restores.

pull/3511 · pull request description

One limit stays as it was. An explicit rollback overwrites edits made since the last snapshot, and it takes no extra checkpoint first. If you want those edits kept, snapshot before you roll back.

Instinct files saved with a byte order mark are no longer skipped

Before: skipped without a warning. After: parsed like any other instinct.

pull/3511 · skills/continuous-learning-v2/scripts/instinct-cli.py · fix from #3509

The continuous learning skill stores learned habits, called instincts, as small files. One saved with a byte order mark was skipped without a warning. Now the mark is stripped and the file loads.

An instinct with confidence inf or nan no longer crashes status

github.com/affaan-m/ECCcontinuous-learning-v2 · instinct-cli
confidence: inf0.5
confidence: nan0.5
confidence: 1.40.5
confidence: 0.70.7
pull/3511 · skills/continuous-learning-v2/scripts/instinct-cli.py · fix from #3508

A confidence score of infinity or not-a-number made the instinct status command fail. Now any value outside zero to one falls back to one half, and valid scores are untouched.
