gstack 1.91.70.0 lets a parent agent run /autoplan unattended

gstack 1.91.70.0 (2026-10-10): a parent agent can now run /autoplan unattended. A new session kind skips every prompt and sync, one validate command tells a finished run from an interrupted one, the final gate waits for approval, and review-log status comes from its findings. https://github.com/garrytan/gstack/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md#191700---2026-10-10 https://github.com/garrytan/gstack/blob/main/docs/unattended.md https://github.com/garrytan/gstack/commits/main

gstack 1.91.70.0 lets a parent agent run /autoplan unattended

$ GSTACK_SESSION_KIND=unattended
Promptssuppressed
Telemetry · artifacts sync · brain spoolskipped
UnattendedRun checkGateReview logReports
garrytan/gstack · CHANGELOG.md 1.91.70.0

gstack 1.91.70.0 adds an unattended session kind, for a subagent machine that runs without a person and isn't CI. It suppresses every prompt and skips telemetry, artifact sync and the brain spool.

Run check

A parent agent can tell a finished /autoplan from an interrupted one

GSTACK_RESULT: skill=autoplan status=gate_pending run=<dir>
$ gstack-artifact validate run.json
Fails on an interrupted run, a missing reviewer or a stale artifact.
UnattendedRun checkGateReview logReports
garrytan/gstack · CHANGELOG.md 1.91.70.0

An unattended /autoplan writes its plan, findings and decisions to a run directory and prints one result line. One validate command fails the run if it was interrupted, missed a reviewer or left a stale artifact.

Gate

Unattended runs never approve their own gate

A question with a recommended option takes it and logs the choice
Approvals wait in one gate list with one reply grammar
A stale reply is rejected with no writes
UnattendedRun checkGateReview logReports
garrytan/gstack · CHANGELOG.md 1.91.70.0

A question with a recommended option answers itself, and the choice is logged. Everything that needs approval waits in one gate list with one reply format, and a stale reply changes nothing.

Review log

Review-log status now comes from the findings file

Beforeclean, despite open findings
Nowcomputed from findings
A row whose claimed counts disagree fails with REVIEW_STATUS_MISMATCH.
UnattendedRun checkGateReview logReports
garrytan/gstack · CHANGELOG.md 1.91.70.0

A review log could mark itself clean while its own findings said otherwise. Now the review log computes its status and open counts from the findings file, and rejects any row that claims different numbers.

Reports

Autoplan reports open on urgent items and show the time taken

## URGENT, outside this plan comes first, None. when empty
An estimate from your last ten runs, the actual time beside it
A STATE_ROOT line says whether state survives the machine
docs/unattended.mdfirst half of the multi-agent wave
UnattendedRun checkGateReview logReports
garrytan/gstack · CHANGELOG.md 1.91.70.0

Every autoplan report now opens with an urgent block. It estimates the run from your last ten runs and prints the actual time. And each run says whether its state will survive. This is the first half of the multi-agent work. The unattended guide covers the parent agent.
