Lanes
gstack 1.91.206.0 lets pregate clear CI lanes your machine can run
ubuntu-latest → requires-remoteOn a shared repo where only you use gstack, pregate fell back to defaults, so a CI lane your Mac could not run never cleared. Now it can read a policy file kept outside the repo.
Local
Name the lanes a local run satisfies
A new local setting lists the CI jobs your machine covers, like an Ubuntu suite that runs the same on a Mac. Those tests run on your machine instead of waiting on a remote gate.
Limits
Small machines still owe the remote gate
One limit stays. On a machine with fewer than eight cores, a repo with a remote gate or a remote test backend still records its tests as owed to the remote run.
Guards
The user policy only fills a gap
The file only counts when the base branch has no policy of its own. A branch cannot swap in a looser file through a symlink, and editing the file marks an earlier pass stale.
Verdict
If a teammate’s repo keeps .gstack out of git, I would upgrade now
docs/pregate.mdgarrytan/gstack · the pregate.json and local referenceIf you run gstack on a team repo that keeps its .gstack folder out of git, I would upgrade now. Lanes your machine can run finally clear on your machine.
