Monitor on Bedrock, Vertex, Foundry
Claude Code v2.1.310 brings the Monitor tool to Bedrock, Vertex and Foundry
- Monitor tool
- now on Bedrock, Vertex and Foundry
- Plugin monitors
- now on those providers too
- Telemetry off
- both work with telemetry or nonessential traffic disabled
- Long sleeps
- foreground sleeps are now blocked in those setups
Claude Code's Monitor tool and plugin monitors now run on Bedrock, Vertex and Foundry, and with telemetry or nonessential traffic turned off. Those setups now block long foreground sleeps as well.
Gateway requests
>Requests through strict gateways stop failing
- Rejected by some gateways
- the effort-2025-11-24 beta value, or system messages mid-conversation
- Now
- Claude Code retries the request without them
If you route Claude Code through a gateway or a compatible server that rejects a beta value or a system message in the middle of a conversation, your requests no longer fail. Claude Code retries without them.
Compaction with dense text
>Compaction after “Prompt is too long” now cuts enough dense text
- Dense text
- base64 or SVG in the conversation
- Before
- compaction kept too much, so the next request could fail again
When a conversation packed with base64 or SVG hit the prompt is too long error, compaction kept too much of it, so the next request could fail the same way. That is fixed.
Three fixes
>Fixed: a Windows hook gap, symlink prompts and deleted pasted images
- Windows hooks
- without Git Bash, a hook that is only a quoted path no longer lets a tool call through
- Read prompts
- show where a symbolic link points
- cleanupPeriodDays
- a very large value no longer deletes recent files like pasted images
Three fixes. On Windows without Git Bash, a hook whose command is only a quoted path stops letting tool calls through. File permission prompts show where a symbolic link points. And a huge cleanup period stops deleting pasted images.
Plan feedback in VS Code
>VS Code: “Send feedback and keep planning” no longer approves the plan
- Before
- pressing Enter on that button approved the plan
- Now
- your comments go back and Claude keeps planning
In VS Code, pressing Enter on the plan review card's send feedback button approved the plan instead. Now your comments go back to Claude, and it keeps planning.
Enterprise custom roles
>Enterprise Owners can grant cloud sessions and Remote Control by role
- Custom roles
- now carry Claude Code cloud sessions and Remote Control permissions
- Turning either on
- asks for confirmation and lists the roles that have it
Enterprise custom roles now carry permissions for Claude Code cloud sessions and Remote Control, so Owners decide which roles get each. Turning either one on now asks first and lists those roles.
